It also serves as China’s profound exploration in response to the fundamental questions of “what kind of world should be built” and “what are the means to achieve it.” Since its inception a decade ago, this concept has received widespread acclaim and positive responses from various countries around the world, with Middle Eastern countries actively participating. <\/p>\n

Currently, the world is grappling with profound changes unprecedented in a century. Meanwhile, both the international order and the situation in the Middle East are undergoing significant transformations. In this context, fostering awareness of building a community with a shared future for mankind and jointly advancing peace and development in the Middle East region aligns with the common aspiration of people from all nations, including those in the Middle East. This also charts the course for the development and progress of global civilizations. <\/p>\n

To strengthen international exchanges and deepen academic research, Shanghai International Studies University hosted the 9th International Forum on Asia and the Middle East from September 26 to 28, 2025. The forum was jointly hosted by the Institute for Middle East Studies at Shanghai International Studies University and the Chinese Association for Middle East Studies. The main theme of the forum is: \u201cThe World and the Middle East from the Perspective of a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity: Great Changes and New Developments,\u201d and the key themes are: <\/p>\n
